Further Japanese air raids took place on January 15th and 16th with railways as main objective. Three raids on 15th

and one on 16th. Tracks damaged on both Canton-Hankow and Canton owloon railways. I am informed that Canton-Hankow express was machine-gunned at Sunkai station causing several

casualties.

Repeated to Commander-in-Chief China No. 6, General Officer Commanding China No. 6, Consul-General Hankow No. 7, Governor

Hongkong No. 6 and Foreign Office No. 6.
